That's right, I'm a Christian woman who is also pro-gay rights. Jesus loves EVERYONE!
While we're at it I'm also pro-women's choice. When one of those fat, old men in Congress gets knocked up by a rape and has to give a baby up for adoption because abortion wasn't available, I'll listen to their side of the story.

Good for you! So many people are ready to trample the basic human rights of others, but are the first to throw a hissy fit the first time somebody looks at them cross-eyed. I'm not gay, but it disgusts me that other people think they have the right to control how somebody lives their own life.
ReplyDeleteJesus was/is about love...it's so easy to love people that are like us, but sadly, hatred runs rampant. My sister is a Conservative Gay Christian, but she didn't even admit it to herself until she was 50. She didn't want to be gay, was afraid that God might not let her into heaven. Aside from that, she had a few family members tell her she is going to hell.
ReplyDeleteRegarding abortions, no woman takes having an abortion lightly, it is 1 of the most painful, difficult decisions someone ever has to make. I feel very strongly that men shouldn't be the ones dictating what WE do with OUR bodies. I don't know if people don't realize it or want Roe vs. Wade overturned, but in the not too distant future, coathangers will be the tool once again used to perform abortions.
I admire you for stating your convictions, it takes a LOT of courage, especially on controversial subjects like these. Love you sweet lady.
